The University of Utah is no longer accepting applications for new Income Share Agreement (ISA) contracts. ISA information provided on this website is for historical and informational purposes only. If you are a current or past ISA recipient and have questions, please contact the University Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid.
Before applying for the Invest in U ISA, we strongly encourage you to:
- Research all funding options available to you, including annual completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the university’s general scholarship application. The FAFSA determines your eligibility for any federal and state financial aid programs (including grants, work-study, and loans), and the university’s scholarship application provides opportunities for a wide range of scholarships from departments across campus. For types of aid available at the U, please review the information at "Types of Aid" on the Office of Scholarships & Financial Aid website.
- Compare and be aware. We recommend you understand the benefits of different funding programs available to you (e.g., the difference between subsidized and unsubsidized Federal Direct Loans compared to private/alternative loans); you should also consider the different rights and responsibilities associated with each funding program available to you. And, be aware of what projected earnings are for your planned field or major.
We are in the process of developing a compilation of resources and tools to assist you; in the meantime, we suggest you to contact the U’s ISA Counselor at isa@utah.edu for an appointment to help you with your research.
